I just smoked around half a bowl of weed and im pretty high right now. I have half a pill of ambien, and im pretty tired so would it be ok if I took it? Would there be adverse or dangerous effects? If so what are they, and if not does it ruin the weed high, or just what will it do? Thanks in advance.

Answer:

The Ambien will increase the drowsiness you are already experience, and the weed will increase the effects of the Ambien-excessive sedation, in my opinion. Its not going to get you “higher”, if that’s what you are going for-your just going to pass out!

People have different reactions to Ambien. And the reactions will usually be stronger the first few times you take it.
I use Ambien occasionally, and I made sure that my husband was home to watch me the first few times, because I had heard about unusual behavioral side effects from it, and I wanted to make sure I was safe.
The first night I took it, I took it while I was cleaning up for the night while getting ready for bed. (It usually takes me about an hour to get all set for bed, and I figured that would be a perfect amount of time to let it start to work.) Anyway, after about a half-hour, I started to feel like I was drunk. Very loopy, had some difficulty balancing and walking. My husband said that I became very “chatty”. (Like the way people who have a good buzz on will babble.) At no time, though, was I unaware of my actions, or was I “incoherant”.

My mother was given a different Ambien prescription. (I was given Ambien CR, she was given regular Ambien.) The first time SHE took it she and my father were on vacation, and she got up at 2:00 in the morning and started to pack. When my father asked her what she was doing, she was like, “You’d better hurry up or we’re going to miss our plane!” My father said he had an awful time trying to talk her back into bed, and she was pretty much babbling and putting random things into her suitcase. I asked them if she had had any alcohol that night, and they said that they had had a few drinks with some friends earlier in the evening, so I think her reaction was probably a combination of the Ambien and a few glasses of wine.
When you mix Ambien with anything, you are going to get a stronger reaction. You’re NOT supposed to do that, though. Ambien can kill you if not taken properly. It’s not worth the risk. I told my mother to never take Ambien if she’d had anything to drink that night. I would never combine it with anything.

Is it safe to take Darvoset with Ambien? A family member of mine recently had a surgery and is taking this combination of medicines, I’m not sure if this is a good idea or not.

If the family member has been prescribed these medications post operatively, have faith in the surgeons expertise. There should be no problem if taken as prescribed.

i am on 50mg of Pamelor which is an anti-depressant. its a low dosage and is used to prevent chronic migraines rather than depression. i’ve been having trouble sleeping lately and want to take an Ambien tonight. would the combination cause any weird problem for me?

Answer:

It shouldn’t just take one ambien, and it shouldn’t effect you in any negative way, i am on anti depressants, and was on ambien and it didn’t do anything bad.
