I left my perscription of ambien at the beach. Got it filled last on 4/13. How long do I have 2 wait?
When is the soonest that I can get it re filled? I tried to call today and the automated machine said that it was too soon to refill. Anyone have any idea?

um, you tell your parents you have trouble sleeping and ask to go to the doctor, and he’ll give you something that caters to your needs. theres no point in taking ambien unless absolutely necessary. for most cases of insomnia thats like taking chemotherapy because youre tired of shaving your head

all that other stuff they sell at walgreens and walmart and other stores they sell for sleep they dont really work much. well thats my opinion., but i have sleeping problems. so my doctor gives me ambien 10 mg. just go see your doctor and tell them you have problems sleeping. and maybe if your lucky they will give you a perscription. they gave me one. so i get refills every month for it. ambien works really really good. better then other stuff out there. just talk to your doctor. good luck 
What disorder does someone have when rants about sex and od on ambien which is a controlled substance?

Well since you have no answers, I’ll have to give it a shot. Anyone who rants about sex is probably normal! Ambien helps you sleep, so maybe they need to sleep after all that sex! So the disorder they have would be called “normal”.
Should haldol be used to treat combativeness when there is a lifethreatening overdose of ambien?
My daughter overdosed on ambien and did not survive. She was given haldol because she was combative.

I think maybe you should contact a lawyer about this. I can’t say either way–I’m not a doctor–but it seems inappropriate to give Haloperidol, or any other potentially sedating drug, when there’s already a life-threatening situation caused by sedatives. So…call another doctor, call a lawyer…this situation seems kind of “off”.
What’s the longest you’ve been able to stay awake after taking an Ambien?
I just took one 5 mins ago cuz it’s almost bedtime and I don’t feel tired. I’m wondering if you’ve ever tried to stay awake and how you felt after an hour or so.

When I had eye surgery they prescribed that… I took one when I got home & they said if you don’t fall asleep w/in an hour to take another- so I took another 45 mins later… 4 hrs later I was still up but sitting w/ my eyes closed b/c they hurt so bad. My roommate called the doctors office & they told her to give me 2 more— took those and fell asleep about 3 hours later. I have a high tolerance for drugs though– if one doesn’t get you to bed in an hr, then you probably can take another– but I wouldn’t do more than that unless you call your dr. I find Benedryl works better, honestly. I had Ambien CR- which might make a difference too b/c it’s control release.
Is it safe to take a 12.5mg ambien tablet even though i don’t have a prescription for it?
I never ever sleep. It’s so hard for me to fall asleep even when I’m super tired. I found some ambien in my mom’s bathroom and it’s only those little sample tabs that doctors give you, I guess. Anyway, there’s two 12.5 mg tablets and I was wondering if it’d hurt me in any way if I took one tonight.

STOP! Listen, I have the same problem, but sedatives are the last option. Firstly, try ceasing any caffeine intake. This meaning no energy drinks/coffee, etc. Before sleep, try drinking a mug full of warm milk and take a very hot bath. If you smoke, don’t do it before you go to sleep. If neither of those help, I guess it’s OK to TALK TO YOUR MOM ABOUT IT. I could tell you to take the fucking tablet or some diazepam(it’s what I take), but I have no idea what you’re allergic to and I could cause you some cool anaphylaxis, which could be fatal, by the way(wouldn’t that be cool? You could sleep really well).
On a more serious note, your best option is to talk to your mom and tell her, then have her schedule an appointment with a doctor to see what options you have.
Or, if you don’t want to talk to anyone about this, there is a good naturist treatment for insomnia with no side-effects called Placebo. Just tell your pharmacist a friend recommended it to you. Any pharmacy should have it.

How difficult is it to get a doctor to prescribe Ambien to you?
Before anyone goes off about health effects. 5 Tylenol PM isn’t good for you either.
Edit – not a junkie. Just can’t make it through my day with 1 – 2 hours sleep. That’s about all I get with Tylenol PM.

If you specifically want ambien then you should NOT ask for it. Just say you’re having trouble sleeping and taking so many tylenol pm and feeling bad the next day, etc… He’ll probably give you ambien, but if he doesn’t then just take what he gives you (it might work just as well, anyways). If you still want ambien come back after a week or so and say it isn’t working or that you’re having negative side effects. Keep doing this until he gives you the drug you want.
If my friend over dosed on my prescribed Ambien pills and he died, am I responsible?

its illegal to give out your prescription meds, Ambien is a very dangerous drug especially mixed with alcohol, if your going to give your friend Ambien only give him one and make sure he doesn’t drink with it, also make sure he lies down in bed minutes after taking the pill, if someone takes ambien and stays up they can act very odd, driving, drinking using the phone etc. while on ambien and not remembering doing it or being in control of ones actions is common and can lead to all kinds of problems
