Why does my 1 1/2 yr old cry when the Ambien commercial with the rooster comes on tv?
NO…She will come running from her room if she hears this commercial & just starts crying. The only tv she watchs is Sesame Street….
Answer:
Maybe the rooster scares her. She’s a toddler. They’re scared by weird things, sometimes. Don’t try to push roosters on her or anything. She’ll grow out of it on her own if no one makes a big deal out of it now. Making a big deal out of it will teach her that it IS a big deal. That’s what makes phobias worse in children.
My son was deathly afraid of Elmo when he was little. (Of course, he grew out of it.)
Has anyone ever used Ambien for sleep?
I am fighting it and I know i should not do this, but I wasnt to study the effects on what it does to me. I took it 20mins ago. I am can’t type and I feel like I am drunk. I don’t feel bad, just a louse who can’t get this together.

I have been on Ambien for two months. I take it only when I have racing thoughts. I am prescribed 15 pills per month and I have only taken 6 of them this month. I don’t find that the natural remedies work for me. I feel well rested and in a better frame of mind the next day. The chemicals in our bodies are different. So, if something works for you, Great. If not don’t go around trying to be the doc you are not. Peace

Havent used it but you wont last, you will fall asleep if that is how you feel only 20 mins of use. So sorry you dont think you will be able to fight it for much longer so Hang in there !!! LoL

How come 45 milligrams of ambien gave me such weird dreams?

Although I was not on that high of a dosage with Ambien I took 10mg and experienced weird dreams. I now take 100mg of Trazadone and experience the same thing.
I heard and read that most sleeping pills cause what we would say as abnormal dreams.
Who knows maybe it is because we are actually getting sleep verses not and you are suppose to dream. If you remember when you were not on a sleeping pill and you did dream were they weird too or normal, but then again what is a normal dream….
I take ambien, I now have a physical that I have to pass for employment. will it show up in my system?

No, Ambien will not show. I suggest if they have a space to list any medications that you use, that you leave it BLANK.
It is illegal for them to require that you list your medications, as this is violating your privacy rights. However, if one of your legally prescribed medications should show positive, at that time you can show them what you take as prescibed medicines. I would like to think that employers do not hold against you any chronic medical conditions, however I don’t believe they are that honorable, and may decide not to hire you (of course they wouldn’t actually say this, as this would leave them open to a lawsuit).
How can I quit Ambien?
I want to stop taking Ambien and sleep on my own. I’ve greatly reduced my intake of caffeine and seem to be able to sleep on my own somewhat. Taking Ambien has increased my appetite and I just want to feel normal.

You’ll have to reduce your caffeine even more. Then wean yourself off of it. example, go from 1 a day to 1 every other day and so on. Try drinking chamomile tea instead. Talk to your doctor about wanting to come off Ambien too, maybe he/she can help.
What is a “safe” dose of Ambien for a 38 year old woman who weighs 185lbs?
I have the generic Zolpidem 10mg pills…. not working so great. Would really like to talk another one!?

ambien (zolpidem tartrate) is to treat insomnia, not chronic insomnia. youre only suppose to take it once in a while, so maybe you need to try something you can take every night, like trazodone. but, ambien only comes in 5 or 10mg and thats it. so i would talk to your doctor if you notice you need to take it alot and you dont feel it anymore, they can prescribe you something else better for you

all that other stuff they sell at walgreens and walmart and other stores they sell for sleep they dont really work much. well thats my opinion., but i have sleeping problems. so my doctor gives me ambien 10 mg. just go see your doctor and tell them you have problems sleeping. and maybe if your lucky they will give you a perscription. they gave me one. so i get refills every month for it. ambien works really really good. better then other stuff out there. just talk to your doctor. good luck

Well since you have no answers, I’ll have to give it a shot. Anyone who rants about sex is probably normal! Ambien helps you sleep, so maybe they need to sleep after all that sex! So the disorder they have would be called “normal”.

My daughter overdosed on ambien and did not survive. She was given haldol because she was combative.

I think maybe you should contact a lawyer about this. I can’t say either way–I’m not a doctor–but it seems inappropriate to give Haloperidol, or any other potentially sedating drug, when there’s already a life-threatening situation caused by sedatives. So…call another doctor, call a lawyer…this situation seems kind of “off”.
