….well the generic form. Sometimes the pills works within 30 seconds. Other times it could take 90 minutes for the pill to take effect. Has been taking the pill for over a year every night without fail. She gets out of bed with no memory of anything. She will eat, talk, look for stuff but no memory of any of it. Is there something different she can take without all the sleep walking? I mean, isn’t a sleeping pill to keep you in bed?

Answer:

There is also Lunesta or Sonata that she could try. Have her take to her doctor for more information. I have taken both of these and did not do the things as I did on Ambien (eating, talking, and no memory).

I dont want to take a whold ambien becuase I dont want a dependency. I should say I am on chemotherapy drugs as well which administer steroids to keep the nausea down. I figure the ambien had a greater chance of having a depencendy than red wine. What do you think? Age 53, male, light drinker.

Answer:

sounds good to me. just keep it to under a bottle. and no… it wont kill you.

also, with only half an ambien, expect your sleeping pill to wear off sooner as it is a time release thing. with half the pill and you opening it up, you may find yourself wide awake 3 hours before you want to be.

move to cali, smoke a bowl (helps with the nausea and wont keep you up… and its legal here), drink a glass of wine… and nothing but the best of wishes in your fight.

I mean, isn’t that the point of the drug…to make you sleepy?

Answer:

Basically what they’re saying is that if you take it, then go driving or operating heavy machinery or anything else you shouldn’t be doing after taking a sedative, and you get drowsy and have an accident, it’s not their fault, they warned you.

so there isn’t a trace of it left in you? i’m not getting a drug test, i just want to know when i won’t feel so groggy and weird. will it be out of my system in 6 hours?

Should be completely gone in 12-15 hours.

What is the “high” with Ambien? I have been prescribed this drug for sleep over the past year and I just learned that people use it recreationally. I was just wondering what it was about Ambien that makes it a chip bowl favorite at pill parties.
I guess people fight off sleep to experience it ??

it’s unpredictable.
for some people it relaxes them and puts them to sleep and others it causes disassociative states and bizarre hallucinations.
humans have always experimented with consciousness-changing compounds, be it plants, solvents, cough meds etc etc.
it can be a dangerous one. if you must do it, have a sober trip-sitter around to ensure your safety

Just got home from work, have been awake for 25 hours, was not invited for the bi-weekly pancake cook-a-thon this morning, so, figured I should ward off the insomnia that’s been creepin up on me with a little sleepy pill. And now’s about the time I begin to deconstruct…please forgive my drool soaked drivel….hopefully I don’t do anything too whacky….maybe lock the doors, and turn off the computer for your own safety people!

If you are taking Ambien you should allow yourself atleast 8 hours to sleep. You should also not operate any heavy machinery or drive an automobile. Get some rest it will make you feel better!

i’m thinking she is a pill head but she took 4! So how will this affect her?

wow. shes gonna be tripping majorly.

back when i used to pop pills i crushed and snorted 3 ambiens and it made me start hallucinating. next thing i know im in the bathroom lying on the floor and talking to people thinking i was on a game show.
then everything started turning blue and green and all these wild neon colors. then i blacked out and dont remember anything else.

then i slept for like a day and a half.
its not gonna kill her but it will get her way messed up and have her seeing things.
just watch after her if you can until she comes down.

If you take a half a pill of ambien only for one night, would it be a bad idea to tan tomorrow?

light sensitivity is a remote possibility, but possible none-the-less.

Although I was not on that high of a dosage with Ambien I took 10mg and experienced weird dreams. I now take 100mg of Trazadone and experience the same thing.

I heard and read that most sleeping pills cause what we would say as abnormal dreams.

Who knows maybe it is because we are actually getting sleep verses not and you are suppose to dream. If you remember when you were not on a sleeping pill and you did dream were they weird too or normal, but then again what is a normal dream….

with the high cost of Rx drugs, I want to get the best deal.

Answer:

No. Ambien CR is a pill that can not be cut. First of all, it is rounded and very smooth and hard, and would be pretty much physically impossible to cut. Second, it would not work properly if cut. This is not true for all drugs. Many can be cut and still work properly. But not Ambien CR.
