postheadericon is it really hard to get off of ambien?

I am so tired of being tired. I have really bad insomnia, and have been on ambien for 5 years, along with klonopin fo ranxiety and lamictal for bipolar. The first thing is I want to know how to get off of the sleep medication/ EVery morning I wake up feelin gdrugged and exhausted. I take 5-10mgs a night.

Answer:

You should probably see a doctor. I know with certain medications (not sure which ones), once your body is used to receiving them, you can’t just stop taking them cold turkey. It sends your body into shock or something. So check with your doctor, a clinic, or even a pharmacist.

postheadericon Ambien cr doesn’t give me a full nights sleep. I break it, wake and take more, but I really need more than 12

I tried lunesta and another. What can help sleep a full night. I have trouble falling and going back to sleep. No benedryl-makes me woozy and not sleepy. Help! Takin htis stuff every night.

Answer:

it sounds to me like u took too much stuff and ur brain isnt responding to it anymore. Sleep meds when taken enough screw up ur sleep more than they help. they really are worthless. I had accidentally gotten addicted to them. I went a week with out sleep (full sleep 6-8 hours) I would just nap and wake up. It took a full 2 weeks of hell be4 i went to sleep naturally. My advice to u is to stop taking them drink as much water as u can to clear it from ur system and do sit ups, push ups, jog ect do what ever to make ur body physically tired to get back to normal.
Good Luck

Answer:

Pills like Ambien are terrible for you. Your body will never go into a REM sleep mode from taking that garbage. All they do is put your brain into a chaotic state and make you fall asleep, but they throw your normal bodily functions into a weird state.

Getting rid of them will be the best thing you ever do. They are simply big money makers for the manufacturers and you would have done yourself a lot more good by sending them a check directly and not putting your body through that.

Your adrenal glands have been whipped and beaten by that garbage. Without REM sleep mode, you will find that you are exhausted a lot of the time, no matter how much sleep you get.

You need to reset your circadian rhythm and get your body to start producing more melatonin. A SAD diet will cause you to not produce the right nutrients to promote good health. The SAD diet is the “standard American diet.” LOW fat, HIGH carbs is a terrible thing you should never put your body through. Your body will be under stress continually when you follow that regimen. The stress further exhausts those adrenal glands. It’s no wonder women have such problems with menopause.

Do the following to get a good nights sleep:

Call the Healthline company (www.healthline.cc (not .com company with the same name) — (800) 370 – 3447 and order the following:

Melatonin — Take 5 drops and work up to 10 by adding 1 drop per day to the 5 that you start with. Take this just before bed.

Tranquinol — Take 2 of these each night one hour before going to bed.

Additionally, make sure you are drinking enough water. This is critical. Stop ALL diuretic drinks: coffee, tea, fruit juices, energy drinks, etc. Make sure you get the following amount of water each day:

Take your total body weight and divide by 2. That number is the amount of ounces you need to drink each day. Don’t drink tap water.

The melatonin from the company I suggested is different than any you may have tried. It is the fully reduced form that is very powerful and will also work to provide free radical protection in your body where no other substance can get too. The Tranquinol will take 3 to 10 days to be fully effective. It’s not a drug and is ALL natural. It will reset your circadian rhythm in that time.

Make sure you have no lights on in the room where you are sleeping and make sure ALL electrical appliances of any kind are a minimum of 6 feet away from where you sleep.

You will be amazed at how well you sleep and then how well you feel during the day with lots of energy. Once you have gotten some good sleep, you will need to look at your diet. Find a good Certified Nutritional Therapist and have them test you for specific nutritional deficiencies and to recommend a good diet for you and possibly some good supplements.

Don’t go out and buy melatonin from stores because it is all made from synthetic sources and will damage your DNA and not work very well. It is all junk and not good for you.

good luck

postheadericon Can I get Ambien or Sonata online?

I think Ambien is now out generic. These are the only two drugs that help me sleep. I have to work night shift because my fiance works evenings and we only have one car. I can’t sleep half the time. I don’t really have the time to go to the doctor. Are there ANY reliable sites that aren’t a ripoff?

Answer:

I heard that you can only get regular meds, no scheduled ones. However, I also have heard you can get anything if you know where to look. I would say you can, but where, I don’t know.

postheadericon Why does ambien make me depressed?

I am prescribed to take it every night. I took it about an hour ago. I always wonder about strange things and get very upset.

Last night I started wondering about my ex boyfriend and ended up hysterical for half an hour.
Tonight I’ve been wondering if anyone will ever love me. It’s making me depressed.

I do not think about these things at all during the day. They don’t even really cross my mind. Why do I only think about it and get upset when I take this medicine?

Thank you.

Answer:

Ambien can have that effect on people. Luckily I don’t feel the depression from it.. Have you tried lunesta, rozerrum or sonata. I’ve tried them all and never felt depressed., they just weren’t strong enough for me. I ‘d advise you to tell you doctor to to either change your dose or maybe try lunesta for about a week and see if that takes the depression problems out. Good Luck! And don’t worry, I don’t do off the wall stuff until after I have taken my ambien, I believe I gave my dogs 3baths in one night because I just kept forgetting that they were clean They loved it! they were the cleanest dogs on this street!!!.

postheadericon What is the difference between Ambien and Melatonin?

Im just curious

Answer:

Melatonin is a substance in the brain that affects sleep/wake cycles. Some people take pills, which supposedly helps you sleep, but its actually efficacy isn’t really known.

Ambien is a commonly prescribed sleep medication that helps make brain cells less excited, thus helping you sleep.
